Architecture of the alma mater.

The alma mater has launched Connexions, what appears at first glance to be a competitor to MIT's OpenCourseWare. I haven't looked below the surface, but it could either be hand-wavey nothingness or something actually useful. I'm hoping for the latter. I don't intend to return to Rice, but everything good that they do retroactively increases the perceived value of my degree. On the other hand, my degree's value drops off over time, and probably faster than the benefit accrued through Rice doing good things.
